Daily Inspiration and Spiritual Guidance, Issue #039-- Healing Emotional Pain

|Hello Dear Ones,
Healing Emotional PainThe symbol of the sacred Star of Healing can be an aid in the healing of emotional wounds. For this meditation it is important to be sitting near your altar.
If you don't yet have an altar, now is the time to create one - a simple, quiet, holy space that will allow you to focus your attention on God. Most people find it helpful to have a candle on the altar to bring forth the experience and remembrance of God's Light.
As you sit quietly in meditation, focus your attention on the breath, being simple - breathing in, breathing out. Place your hand over your heart, breathing in, breathing out.
Now turn your attention to an emotional pain or wound you are carrying, one that has not been able to be healed ... or perhaps a resentment or negative emotional charge that you have been unable to let go of.
Notice where in your body you are carrying the pain. Feel the emotions connected with the hurt, and allow any associated memories to come into your consciousness. Continue to breathe, in and out.
Now, imagine that the pain, emotions and memories that are in this part of your body are freed up to leave your body. See them release in front of you like a cloud. Notice with your inner vision what the cloud looks like, what it feels like. See this cloud with love and compassion for yourself, and for those people who are connected with your painful feelings. Know and affirm that you are not your emotions.
Now, imagine the holy Light of the Star of healing coming down from the heavens and surrounding this cloud of pain and hurt. The Light of the Star is large enough to completely envelop the cloud of pain within its center. With deep prayer in your heart, ask God to send healing to this pain so that you may be freed from it.
Allow your heart to open. Release any tears that are present. Feel the gratitude for this healing that allows you to be freed from emotional burdens.
Now, allow the Star to do its work as you return your focus to your breath. Place your hand on your heart and affirm I release this burden and ask God to heal it. Speak this aloud several times, from your heart.
Spend a few more moments quietly in front of your altar, affirming God's love. You will find that this meditation will work within your consciousness throughout the day and into the night. It can be repeated whenever there is a need, though we do not recommend doing this meditation more than once each day.
After such a meditation where the is a strong release of energies, we recommend drinking several cups of pure water afterwards and throughout the day.
May the Light of God's gifts of love shine deeply within your heart. May your hurts be soothed, may your pain be comforted. May all beings know the peace and comfort of God's holy presence. Amen.
