Healing of the Nation

"If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, then will I forgive sin and heal their land (II Chr. 7:14)." Our healing will come through repentance and repentance means turning to God and away from the things that seperate us from him, including abortion, extortion, greed, and many other sinful practices with which we have aligned ourselves and given approval of. We confess that we are invloved in these things, but yet we still need you to heal our land. Your servant Peter said "Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus and you shall recieve remission of sins." How we need the remission of sins. Teach us, Lord that repentance through Jesus Christ is the only path to you and one that can be readily recieved but we must forsake other gods and paths, even as a married person must, having made the decision to spend their life in the arms of their one true love, forsake all others and cleave only unto them (Gen. 2:24), lest they be a fornicator and adulterer. God requires that same intimacy and committment (Exodud 34:14)and of it he is most deserving. Amen.
