Learning To Pray

I was always writing prayers and asking GOD for things. Someone answered my prayer basically saying " I’m not sure what else to say to you. You have sent this same petition in for months and I want to help you. You have made your petition known to God, after you’ve done that, you’re supposed to pray a prayer of Thanksgiving, BELIEVING that you receive. Going to him and asking the same thing over and over is not the answer. Thanking him for what you have and thanking him for what is to come is what we are supposed to do once we’ve asked. In your prayers you tell God what you want to happen but I don’t see any thanksgiving in them.Thank you GOD for all that you have done for me. Thank you for all that you have bestowed upon me. Thank you for keeping me and thank you for protecting me and my son. Thank you for the time you had given me at my last place of employment and all the people I met and so dearly miss. Thank you God for placing my husband Terry in my life. Most of all Thank you God for giving me life and what is to come of it.
