God's miracles

Dearest Kimberly,

A wise person once said to me that God wants so much more for us than we can imagine for ourselves. Sometimes we pray for a specific thing, whether it be a relationship, a job, or a living situation ... and if that specific thing does not manifest in the time frame that we wish for, then we feel let down, despairing, and abandoned by God. I understand how painful this can be.

When God does not apparently answer our specific prayers, it does not mean that He has abandoned us. Rather, there is something much more that He has in store for us. We grasp onto the known and familiar, but God is always encouraging us to let go, to surrender, and to trust.

I encourage you to take your pain, your feelings of loss and betrayal to God, and to simply be with these feelings. Often, these feelings are so deep and so unbearable that our natural tendency is to try to hold on to people, relationships or situations in order to not feel this pain.

Instead, pray for healing and allow yourself to feel your emotions, with God. Feel the pain of loss, the desire that Philip return, and the fear that perhaps there will never be someone in your life. You are not alone in your feelings, as you are with God, and you can take this pain to Him.

Give the entire situation to God and place yourself, Philip and everyone involved into His hands, without conditions. The prayer "Thy Will be Done" can help to bring a sense of peace, and will also begin to transform the situation.

God does work miracles, but often in ways we do not expect or see beforehand. If we try to control the situation with our own ideas of what is best, we will miss the larger magnificence of what God has for us, which is always more than we can imagine for ourselves.

I believe that you will find the love you seek, because you are that love, and God created you to love.

Fear not for He is here!

Dear Kimberly,

I read your plead and can understanding the pain you are going through for I am in an almost similar position.

From one who once had everything, I lost my business, house, car, boat, money..... and now my wife. She left me for another....

Am fortunate not to have lost God. For He, I cling to Him for He brings me solace and hope.

I am still in this situation and I believe God will lift me up and out of this doldrum.

Likewise, Kimberly, please do the same. Please pray to Him sincerely and incessantly. He will not desert you. It is only a matter of time when things will fall in place for you.
