Betty, I offer my prayers of comfort for you in the loss of your mother. I also lift up your prayer for strength and comfort and pray with you.
I lost my mother, my father, and my sister over a period of a few months, and I didn't know if I would be able to bear it. I spent a period of silence and listening and resting, and I prayed for help, and I asked for transformation of the overwhelming feelings of loss.
It has been a few years since then, and God answered my prayers, and I feel I have been drawn into a closer conversation with God as I experience the divine Presence of Love.
The spirits of those we lose can sometimes take their place in our hearts in a new way when we lose their physical presence. May you feel that closeness with your mother.
