Please pray for my son Kevin. He is 29 years old. He fights depression.He is angry a lot. He is abusive to me and I am afraid of him when he is at his angriest. Please pray for a total mind and body healing and peace in this family. I need a resolve soon.

i am writing to you to let you know i feel for u i believe in my heart and spirit this is not your son it goes deeper within him does your son drink, do drugs even prescription drugs can change their way of thinking, all this can even cause depression, no matter what man says, it can. and its sad to say even you want to get him help but u cant unless he wants it for himself as for a mother u cant turn your back on your child, i had the best child,he was 18 and drugs got ahold of him and it would change his way of thinking, and he would get a temper, and say things to me that just wasnt him, but all and all he was my son, and i would know that wasnt him talking because my son was a jolly, happy,fun, and everyone loved him he would make everyone laugh til drugs took over his life, as a mother u feel helpless, but prayer can help, even if its people he is running with, can change a person, your sons anger, and abusive manner goes deeper within try to find out what is troubling him. and start there and ask god for his guidance, and to show you where to begin and i will say a prayer for u and your son, i ask in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit to watch over u and your son , and to protect u both and to guide u both in the right direction, and for your son to let go of whatever he in going through and open up to u and then u will be able to help him amen.

I so valued and appreciated the above comments and suggestions. I really is comforting knowing that I am not the only going thrugh this. Most days, no, all days I really feel as if I am the only one going through this.

To the person who wrote the first comment, I believe it was, I cried as I really your comments. It is very much like my particular situation. I love him so very much and would obviously give him the world if I could. However he is very, very verbally abusive. He is very, very controlling. I do have an appointment next week with his doctor. I am assuming at this point all the dr. could do is reccomend counciling and/or medication. Yes, I know everyone is against medication, but I am a teacher and I have seen unsuccessfull children become extreamly successfull children for the first time in their lives. However, I am not a doctor, so I am not going to diagnose.

my 24 year old son is in the same boat.

Hi, I could not believe it when I opened this page. The things that you both are going through I am with getting angry, drinking, thinking he is worthless, and I even read in a note that he wrote that he had thought about taking his life. What can I do!!!! We are a loving family of 4. My husband works 2nd shift, i am on disability and my 26 year old daughter is close to being ready for marriage and moving out. My son all he does is talk about moving out. That would be fine if he had some money in the bank. I pay most of the bills yet and had nothing in his savings. He works 40 plus hours a week but has a car payment and student loans and his phone bill, and just spends the rest eating out and going to the bar. I need help I don't know what to do. Please help me God if there was a time when I needed you more it was now. May god bless the rest of you and help you all out to.
